The LAN9250 is a full-featured, High-Performance, single-chip 10/100 Ethernet controller designed for embedded applications where performance, flexibility, ease of integration and system cost control are required. The LAN9250 includes an integrated Ethernet MAC and PHY with a high-performance SRAM-like slave interface. The simple, yet highly functional host bus interface provides a glue-less connection to most common 8 or 16-bit microprocessors and microcontrollers as well as 32-bit microprocessors with an 8 or 16-bit external bus. Alternatively, the device can be accessed via SPI/SQI. We allow for a network connections to RJ45 sockets or can optionally fit optical interfaces to accommodate fiber via an SFP module. The EVB has on on-board PIC32MX SOC which can be interfaced to LAN9250 using HBI or SPI interface .
