The DUALASYMA5VGEVB evaluation board is a single phase buck converter designed such that it can accommodate up to 2 SO8FL dual asymmetrical parts in parallel or 1 WDFN8 dual asymmetrical part. It is recommended to use only one type at a time depending on the customer needs. The DUALASYMA5VGEVB evaluation board is designed to operate with an input voltage ranging from 8V to 19V, and to provide an output voltage ranging from 0.8V to 1.4V for load currents of up to 20A. The DUALASYMA5VGEVB comes with a 5 V driver, but it can be modified to work with our 12V drivers, but only one type can be used at a time. Please observe the connections for DRVR_VCC are independent from 5VCC and VIN, especially if you switch drivers. The DUALASYMA5VGEVB evaluation board has a number of test points clearly indicated that can be used to evaluate its performance in any given application. This board can operate without external fan safely up to 20A if the user wants to operate at higher currents please have a 200 LFM fan blowing across the board to assist heat dissipation.
